The 7th Annual Center Fly-In presented by XTO Energy Inc. welcomed guests from Pearland, Carthage, Martinsville, San Augustine, Tyler, Hallsville, Houston, Lufkin, Kountze, Texas as well as all parts of Shelby County. Performances by the Texas Heatwave and Flight of the Phoenix Escadrille highlighted the day.

The Young Aviators Glider Contest for ages 3 to13 had 22 participants with winners in each age group receiving 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons. The overall winners of the contest were Tristian Smith claiming the gold medal, Jurmarcus McCollister the silver medal and Nick Toner took the bronze. Drawing for two rides in the T-6 Texan planes went to Steve Waters and Debbie Leggett.

The day was made possible by contributing sponsors Ace Hardware, Texas State Bank, M & M Insurance, Dance Furniture, Shelby Savings Bank, Farmers State Bank, Center Tire Co., Hallmark Center Fixtures, Monco Motors, Toledo Automotive, Texas Glacier Water and Ice, Best Western, T&R Steaks & More, Wal-Mart and Arctic Ice for their donations and support.
